The UAE charges VAT at 5% on most goods and services, administered by the Federal Tax Authority. Prices shown to customers should include VAT. SmartPOS stores the VAT rate, shows tax inline or at invoice level, and its invoice layouts can carry your Tax Registration Number (TRN) and Arabic labels. It is not an FTA-certified e-invoicing system; tell us on your demo if you need that.

Yes. Every AED price on this site includes 5% VAT, so the number you see is the number you pay.

02Can my receipts show Arabic and English?
Yes. Invoice layouts can show Arabic and English labels, your TRN, and VAT on the invoice.

03Is SmartPOS FTA-approved for e-invoicing?
No. We do not claim FTA e-invoicing certification. If your business is in scope of the UAE e-invoicing rollout, tell us on the demo and we will be straight about what is and is not supported.

04Can I talk to sales on WhatsApp?
Yes. WhatsApp is our main channel in the UAE, in Arabic or English. Until the number is published here, use the form and we will message you back on WhatsApp.

05Does it work with Apple Pay?
Apple Pay works through your card terminal or payment provider; SmartPOS records the payment against the sale.

06Can my staff use the system in Urdu or Hindi?
Yes. Each user picks their own interface language, so a cashier can work in Urdu while the manager uses Arabic or English.
