How editions work

Same account, same data, different counter

Every edition runs on one SmartPOS platform. Choosing an edition switches on that trade's modules and labels; it does not lock you in. A bakery that opens a cafe corner switches on cafe modifiers in the same account.

Core in every edition

Sales, stock, customers, staff, tax groups, reports, receipts, online store, languages.

Trade modules

Tables, kitchen orders, bookings, repairs, memberships, scales, lots and expiry, commission.

Its own site

Each edition has a site written for its trade, in the languages that trade's owners use.

Compare side by side

The comparison table lines up every edition's features and starting prices.

Questions about editions

  1. 01What is a POS edition?

An edition is SmartPOS set up for one trade: the same core POS, with that trade's modules switched on and its words on the screen. A restaurant edition starts with tables and kitchen tickets; a salon edition with bookings and commission.

  2. 02Are the editions different software?

No. Every edition runs on the same SmartPOS platform, account and data. You can switch on another edition's modules if your business does more than one thing.

  3. 03Why does each edition have its own website?

So each trade can read about its own work, in its own language, without wading through features for other trades. The hub here compares them; the edition sites go deep.

  4. 04Is my trade missing?

If you sell goods, the General Retail Edition fits most shops. If you sell services, start from the closest services edition. Tell us on a demo and we will tell you honestly whether it fits.

  5. 05Do all editions cost the same?

No. Each edition has its own starting price, billed in the unit the trade understands: per location, per truck, per chair group or per site. Prices differ by country.

  6. 06Why is the pharmacy edition a waitlist?

A pharmacy POS must handle protected health information and connect to a pharmacy management system. We will not sell it until both are in place.

  7. 07Can I change edition later?

Yes. Switch modules on or off in settings; your products, customers and sales stay.

  8. 08Which editions are open now?

20 of 21 editions are open for sign-up today. Pharmacy is waitlist only.
